Falling Dove - Sold
If you're like me you’re feeling a good deal of despair right now. For me, the despair hounds me and then leaves me alone for a few hours, when out with friends or walking in the woods, and yes, sometimes when painting. But every morning I wake up, light candles and say a prayer of gratitude for my life and a prayer that humanity begin waging peace instead of war. Wouldn’t that be lovely? But this painting is a meditation on the opposite. I paint while people die and families grieve. I can only hope and pray that one day the dove will fly.
